In the past years, studies have shown that people increasingly spend more time on their personal devices interacting with or via digital media than ever before. Audio and video are both well-established media in our everyday lives and absorb most of this time. These two types of media have a significant role in our communication, entertainment, education, and our culture in general. With such a high consumption of audio-visual content, audio and video processing skills are becoming increasingly important for professional use, both for young job seekers and workers who want to widen their set of skills, as well as for companies and organisations who want to reach the public.
