The new philosophy of cultural heritage, in line with the UNESCO Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, adopted in 1972 (UNESCO 1972), combines cultural and natural heritage. The concept is associated with a universal understanding of heritage. Culture plays a significant role in international relations, just as much as it does in terms of recognising national values and pride within the borders of any single country. Culture is part of everyday life, helping us understand ourselves and those around us. It is the promotion of national culture, arts, values, and customs that support this understanding and enables connection across nations.
